Private pet swap
I'll start off with introducing you to each of the pet babies to help make things easier and then kinda list some of the things they like and general color schemes.
House Pets
Cobi
Cobi is eight and my spoiled baby. He loves everything but is also a bundle of energy and a mess.
Treats & Toys: He likes Greenies, rawhide chew bones (medium sized or he will choke on them), small squeaky toy animals he can chew up and rip the squeaker out of violently.
Soft stuff: Cobi likes sweaters (wears about a medium-large in the smaller dog sizes) and soft little fleece blankies.
Colors: All of Cobi's stuff is typically pink (of any shade but def hot pink) and black. Oh he also has bling like his hot pink color has
lots of fake rhinestones on it. His leash is a retractable one that is pink and black zebra stripped. Cobi only loves sweaters, but I do dress him up a lot. He has a gay pride bandana that he wears to our pride parade here and a little leather cap with ribbons. lol he also has a pink corset...I'm weird and so is my dog! He is kinda OCD and licks a lot.

Suki (passed away) please no ornaments this year related to her as it's too hard. If you get something with her and have gotten it already before she passed please wrap it and label it for me as being related to Suki. That way I can put it aside and open it when I'm ready.
Suki is my old lazy girl (she's about 15) she pretty much sleeps 23 hours of the day and never moves from the couch.
Treats and Toys: Suki has a very sensitive stomach (I'm talking we had some stomach bleeding issues when we first got her because she got into the trash), so she really cannot have treats or chew toys and things she might digest other than her food. Poor baby also has pretty extreme skin allergies, so we have to make sure anything she wears or lays on is washed with certain detergents.
Colors:Suki's color has been changed to a dark blue, so I'm changing stuff up for her.
Soft stuff: Suki loves blankets, ranging from entire comforters to small fleece throws or even stealing pillows to snuggle on. If it's soft she's going to take it and lay on it even if you want it. Suki will only wear sweaters when it's really really cold (mostly because we have to keep her shaved pretty short or she breaks out from her allergies), but she cannot wear them a lot since that will also cause her to break out. Suki doesn't have the best teeth (she was left outside for like six years before we took her in and the vet said it looks like she gnawed on things to get food ect) so when it comes to toys she very rarely plays with a squeaky toy with Cobi. We have to keep soft toys mostly though since harder things bother her mouth.
Now they both love squeaky balls though and will chase them everywhere.

Florence (Flo)
After Suki passed away Cobi became extremely depressed and gained a bunch of weight. There wasn't much I could do to pull him out of it, so I found Flo. I thought a companion would help him.
I picked her up "from the bad side of town" and the vet estimated she was between one or two. By her behavior it was easy to tell she went without food a lot, never had toys or been potty trained. She would potty anywhere even on herself and in a crate. She had food aggression issues or would eat so fast she would vomit. The vet said it was from being where she had no food and suddenly having food she just ate it all. She would hoard all the toys and hide them again due from not having any before.
Flo has been here a year now (wow I never update this pet page) and I won't say is perfect but is better. Potty training never worked out well and with her high energy she spends a lot of time outside and evening time inside with everyone else(except or coy she hot days she is inside). Her house accidents have cut down and she still doesn't like sharing but is much better. She can play fetch all day and has the ability to jump up into my counters. Having her has persuaded me that Yorkie might just be insane, but she is super loveable.

Serenity(Serena)
serena is the newest member of the family. She is a schnoodle and basically looks like a schnauzer with curly poodle hair. I never adopt animals from shelters because I live in a place where many animals are dumped and there are no shelters. I usually just take them in around home. My sister tagged me in a picture from a local shelter though to see Serena and I was in love.
She is around ten ten years old and was dumped by her family that had her since she was a pup. The biggest issue to overcome is she was used to eating people food and is over 20 pounds overweight.
She takes a bit bit of time to work up to people and you can tell she isn't used to attention. She is starting to realize this is her home though and learning to have fun being a dog. My girlfriend and I are confident we can help Serena lose the weight and then after some work she will be happier. She already likes going for short walks.
Serena's colors are a light blue or teal type color. She cannot have any treats and at this moment doesn't run around or do much due to her size and limited movement. She mostly likes soft blankets to rest on as she cannot climb into a bed ect without help.

Noodle
Nala & Gray
I can say I've never been a huge cat person, but on my birthday there were several little kittens that needed a home and I took some in. Nala is the little calico that finally got better and was able to do her own thing. She is cuddly but also super crazy and is always running about. Little gray is about a month younger than her that I thought wouldn't make it and took them in as well. I just adore my babies.
Mr. Diana & Krampus
these two are siblings from the same litter but couldn't look more different. Barn cats like to roam around the farm and most are wild and feral. One momma cat had two little ones that were having a hard time out in the cold. There was a fluffy Siamese boy with the kindest blue eyes. He had a little silver tabby sister. I took them both in despite them not having been handled or friendly. They were so cranky and Krampus was a turd (hence her name as she was a little devil and took them in around Christmas).
now a year later Krampus is a small sized cuddle bug cat and Mr. Diana is huge boy. He normally wears blue and Krampus wears pink. They both enjoy toys especially jingle balls.

Rikki Tikki Tavi (Rikki) and Tyger (Ty)-Ty is deceased
Rikki Tikki (Bandit mask boy)
He is super lazy and is a big sleeper. Hanging cubes are his favorite to sleep in and lots of times he will stay in them by himself even when Ty won't go in. Rikki is shy and took forever to warm up to people. He is very silly in that he likes to hide and then "attack" fingers to play. His energy comes in short spurts before he just stretches out and passes out for a nap. He loves to steal things, especially shiny things so shiny little bird toys he loves them. He doesn't like them if they make a lot of sound though it kinda scares him. He literally has the worst depth perception ever and when jumping from things tends to not make the distance. He's def not a shoulder rat since he's bad at gripping or just generally falling asleep and sliding off the shoulder. Rikki is now almost two, fixed and has half a tail (if you look at his older pictures). Rikki and Ty got into a fight and Rikki's tail was nipped. Unfortunately he had to have half is tail amputated, but he is still adorable running around or sleeping with his half tail. He has slowed down a lot now getting older but is still a cuddle butt and likes to sit, sleep and be scratched and continue along with his bruxing.
Ty(eye patch boy)
Ty is a pain in the butt but honestly is probably my big buddy out of the two. When it comes to sleeping stuff he likes to stretch out across hammocks mostly but will play with Rikki in a hanging cube. Ty also likes when I buy little cheap plastic containers at like the Dollar Tree and zip tie them to the sides of the cage. He likes to sit in them and curl up into a ball. Pretty much Ty is a climber and an explorer and very good at solving situations and figuring out how to get into the most trouble he can (like how to open my craft drawers and walk on xacto knives....)
Ty is also older now like his brother and fixed. It has slowed him down, but he still loves people and enjoys exploring when he is not sleeping.
Cage stuff: The boys love hammocks, hanging cubes, pouches to hook onto the cage, small containers to latch onto it, shiny bird toys, braided fleece ropes you name it. They even enjoy for me to just put a pillow case in there that they can tunnel into and run around...it doesn't take much to amuse them. I mean literally they stole a roll of tissue last night and were dragging it around to hide it.
The only thing they don't enjoy are like wooden chew toys ect. They only like lava ledges which I hang under their water bottles and are awesome for me since it files down the nails as well. I don't really feed them store bought treats. They get fresh fruits, vegetables and cereals as treats. I have been meaning to try some home made rat treat recipes though for them.
The boys cage doesn't have a particular theme. Lots of their stuff is blue or has images of clouds and moons just because I like them, but they also have leopard print things, zebra stripes, wild psychedelic prints. Pretty much bright colors or like bright colors on dark colors (think like a black with those crazy bright neon colors ect). Really almost any color is fine and sometimes I put red in there just because I call them Dalmatian rat dogs. Things do not have to be matching because they are chewers and will eat through it anyway. Lmao I think their cage now has blue, bright orange and a hodgepodge of mixed colored hammocks. Solid colored fabrics or print is fine. Oh I should mention don't get them anything made out of flannel though. they like try to inhale it.
so anyway just about any colors are fine except pastel colors (it looks awful when they pee on it and they are hitting puberty area so everything is getting sprayed..light blue and pink does not look good covered in urine). They could use new stuff though since the cage switch and the massive amounts of space now.
Oh lol I'm getting a pair of girls in May so stuff for ones I don't even have yet is cool as well. lmao
These guys are my <3 rats and mean the world to me.

Bruce & Ash
I have only had these new boys about a month. After losing all my older babies this year at first I said no more, but these two when I saw pictures reminded me so much of Ty and Riki.
Ash is he one with the mask and is very friendly and adventurous. Bruce has the one eye spot and is a bit more shy. They both seem very sweet and love to spend time outside the cage and playing.
Soon there will be more babies and I will know these guys better. They do love toys and I use fleece to make their hammocks.

Lupin(Russian blue variegated/ mild Rex dumbo) & Albus (Russian Dove variegated dumbo mild Rex)
Moony(American blue self standard ear), Kreacher (powder blue variegated standard ear) & Nublet (powder blue variegated standard ear missing tail tip)
luna, Lilly and Tonks (two Siamese and a hooded beige females with standard ears)
Mina, Zoey and Indy(all deceased)
Mina and Zoe are full sisters and Indy is their half sister. Indy is only a week older than the other girls and they also came from the breeder I got my boys from in Texas before she stopped breeding. My girls just turned one in June and are some of the sweetest little girls ever. They took a while to train because they actually were hardly handled before I got them, but they quickly became some of the sweetest critters. Even at a year they are still extremely active and always into everything!
Mina (Mink berkshire) I would say is the main leader and trouble maker. She is constantly up to something and into everything. She is similar to Ty in that she is always up in everyone's face and wants attention, but she is quickly off skittering about to run and make a mess.
Zoe (ruby eyed Siamese dumbo) has such a beautiful color that most people fall in love with her instantly. She isn't as adventurous as her sister's because she does have some limited vision issues common for ruby/pink eyed rats. She is more about sitting on someone's lap or snuggling in a shirt to keep you company and then running about later to have fun. She is very cautious and explores her surroundings slowly before taking off once she is sure it is safe to do so.
Indy (beiged hooded): She was actually an accident take home rat! I had originally bought one like her but the girl had dumbo ears. Then, that girl was accidentally swapped with Indy and I got the wrong one. Indy was the hardest to work with and completely frustrating for a long time. Then she opened up and has been a great companion. She likes to hide in shirts and give kisses, then run off and cause trouble with Mina.
The three girls get along so well but always keep me on my toes for sure.

Monty (Montressor)varigated American blue rex & Poe American Blue berkshire Rex
Since I got my originally boys and started learning more about rats I've wanted rex rats. I think their coats are beautiful so when I found a breeder in Tennessee that was only three hours away I quickly got on a wait list. These boys were born around Halloween, so it seemed fitting to give them names related to Edgar Allan Poe! Poe is a very shy and quiet boy while Monty is more about exploring and getting into trouble. The pictures are mostly of them being a big younger, but they have actually grown to be my largest rats. They were both very shy when they first came to live with me, but they have opened up a lot.
They came from Rainbow Whiskers Rattery, so I do their cage in rainbow zebra stripes since it seems fitting.

These guys are actually interesting as I used to be terrified of hairless rats. My ex wife wanted some though, so I got these two boys for her. She didn't spend much time with them though and when she left she didn't want them. They spend more time hiding in my shirt or hoodie than out roaming like my other guys. Boo is a bit more dominant and larger than his brother. He will explore some and give kisses while Pascal is more shy and not as openly social. These are old pictures of them when they first got here and didn't have a set color for their cage. Now their cage mostly has animal prints that are in blue or orange colors. Something bright and vibrant, and they always have cubes since they like to make nests.
I don't have a lot to say about these guys yet since I got them about a month ago to be my classroom rats. A young girl posted them having to get rid of them because of her family moving, and she hadn't had them a long time. I thought they might like being around kids again and enjoy the love. I haven't named them because my student's love to name classroom pets. I'm sure it will end up being something to do with the Hunger Games since the guinea pigs have Hunger Game names. All three are very friendly and possibly the sweetest rats I've gotten at a young age. They are very hyper and love to play like any babies.
They don't have a set theme for their cage. I've made them mostly cartoon stuff like MLP, Hello Kitty and even Ninja Turtles, stuff I think the kids will like.

Docsmokin Princess or DP
Docksmokin Princess (DP)
I used to ride and barrel race a lot when I was younger. I spent my entire young adult life on a horses back, but it became harder to do when I was an adult, in college and moved away. Over the years many of my horses have passed away or been sold since I wasn't around as much. DP is one that has always stayed which is odd considering many of my riding horses have been sold and DP is only a broodmare. I got her in high school as a birthday present one year when she was a weanling and just six months old. A friend of my father's bred paints as well (my family bred paints), and I had always loved DP's mother and sister that were used for halter and western pleasure performance. I also liked her Gunsmoke and Zippo Pine Bars pedigree. When she was born i wanted her so badly. She was such a pretty, sweet and loud spotted dun and white filly like her sister. Her owners didn't want to sell her though or any of the foals from her dam. I was a little crushed, so you can imagine my surprise when I was taken on my birthday to go pick a foal from the weanlings they had for sale and she was in the group.
they fell on hard times and needed to sell several of their horses, so DP was up for sale. She hadn't been handled a great deal and didn't even lead, but we spent a lot of time together and she ended up being a sweet and extremely smart little mare. I worked with DP when I was younger, and she accepted the saddle and did tons of round pen work but never grew to be a big enough horse that I wanted to ride as she never made it close to fifteen hands. She ended up becoming a broodmare and mostly lives a pleasant life roaming the fields. She's fourteen and has only had five foals, all colts of course (I keep mares) and all of them much larger and built well like their dam. They all have been so intelligent and she seems to pass on her easy going attitude. I always think someday she will have a filly for me before she retires completely from breeding, but she may be the only one like her I ever have at this rate. lol
DP doesn't wear a halter much or worry about tack. Usually I just slip on a green tie on halter and away we go.

Ebony Nevada Night (the filly)
Update: Nevada actually has come to live with me now and has been here a month! We went to pick her up in Wisconsin, and I adore my little or rather big girl. She is now five months old and getting close to 500 pounds and around 14 hands. She eats like crazy but loves people and attention. There are just not words for how much I adore this little girl and spending time with her makes my day so much better, not that she is perfect or that I'm the perfect owner/trainer but we're learning together. I've been pleased lately that she has learned to come with I call and follows me without the lead as well. In lots of the pictures there is brown coloring through her, but it's just her "sunburnt" hair. She will be black and white without the brown.
I've spent the last five years wanting to get back into horses, but go go the route of drafts instead of paints like my father bred. I used to compete in cowboy mounted shooting on a giant paintxcross and loved riding such a large horse. When I moved away I started looking at different draft breds, and I of course fell in love with Gypsy Vanners because of the lovely hair and pinto spots that reminded me of my deep love of paints. Eventually though my interests went to Clydesdales, as I thought Clydes and Shires just has such a beautiful gentle giant look about them. When I discovered that Clydes could be other colors and not just bays I was blown away and thrilled. I started hunting for breeders, hoping to find the right horse for me. I wanted an older mare that was a riding horse but realistically they were out of the price ranges I could afford after being older with so much training. Instead I settled on finding a filly and Nevada popped up for sale and stole my attention. She hasn't come home just yet, but I look forward to bringing her home in Sept and starting to work with her. It's a different route for me than I've ever gone before, but I'm excited to do it. I've actually started looking for another filly to be a match for Nevada and hopefully an older mare that I can ride to buy as well.
